Dr. Hernandez is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She graduated Suma Cum Laude from The City College of New York and earned her M.D. degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1995. Dr. Hernandez completed her residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. She joined the Pediatric Specialists in 2006 and enjoys all aspects of pediatrics, especially adolescent medicine and managing children with ADHD. Dr. Hernandez is the mother of two adult children. When she is not working Dr. Hernandez enjoys fitness training, boating and other outdoor activities, and travel. She was born in the United Kingdom and moved to the United States as a teenager. Before moving to Florida, Dr. Hernandez practiced pediatrics in rural North Carolina. Dr. Hernandez and her husband Jorge are the proud parents of two children, Alberto and Nathalie.
